It comes from the 70's where it was influence by R&B artists like Maze, The O'Jays, Stevie Wonder, The Commodores, Dr. York, The Jackson 5, Slave, Harold Melvin and the Blue Notes, Marvin Gaye, Donny Hathaway, Heat Wave, Earth, Wind, and Fire, and The Isley Brothers. These artists were creating a genera that would lay the foundation for the first Hip Hop artists of yesterday who  sampled regenerated and grew a new musical expression of their own in the 80's and 90's and into Today.
